Delicious Jalapeno Cheddar Popovers taste as incredible as they look, made with just six simple ingredients and only take 5 minutes to put together!
Ingredients
Directions
These Jalapeño Cheddar Popovers are light and airy, featuring a custard-like center topped with melted cheese and spicy jalapeños.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and lightly coat a 6-cup popover pan or a 12-cup muffin pan with nonstick vegetable oil cooking spray. Using a muffin pan will result in smaller popovers and a larger quantity, but otherwise, the process is the same.
In a large bowl, mix 1 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour with 3/4 teaspoon of salt. Add 1 1/2 cups of milk and 3 eggs, stirring until the ingredients are combined it's okay if the batter has a few lumps. Next, mix in 2 ounces of shredded sharp cheese and either 1 large finely diced jalapeño or 2 small ones.
Evenly pour the batter into the greased popover or muffin cups. Bake for 45 minutes without opening the oven—no peeking!
Once they come out of the oven, carefully transfer them to a towel and let them cool for a few minutes.
Enjoy!!
